What type of job-seeking candidates will you find at GradLeaders?

Our candidate network consists of 1,500,000+ students and alumni from schools around the world.  Vetted by their school admissions and career services process, all of the candidates in our database are proven to be highly-qualified individuals.  By partnering with 650+ career centers, GradLeaders provides the most comprehensive database of job-seeking student talent.

Where do the candidates register for GradLeaders?

Students and alumni from our partner schools and professional associations register in the GradLeaders database through their career services website and/or office.

Can anyone use the services offered by GradLeaders?

No. GradLeaders products and services are only for current students and alumni, and the companies who employ those candidates. All resume database orders and job postings are reviewed by our staff and submitted to the schools for approval.

How do I check the status of my order?

To check the status of your account and your orders, log in to gradleaders.com and click the "My Account" link above.

Why am I getting an error when ordering?

The error could be a result of an existing issue between American Express and PayPal. Even if you are not using an AMEX credit card, forward the error to orders@gradleaders.com to have the issue quickly resolved.

Why am I receiving a "15005 – Gateway decline" error when paying?

It appears that your credit card is being declined by the issuer, not PayPal or our system. This is the error message we are getting: "15005 – Gateway decline: Your card issuer, not PayPal, declined the transaction. Ask your buyer for another card."

We typically see this when you are attempting to use a corporate credit card that PayPal has been blocked (companies often do this to keep employees from charging stuff from internet stores (i.e. eBay) on their corporate account).

If you don't have another card to try, we suggest contacting your credit card company yourself to try and remove the block and make sure there are no other limits you are unaware of – otherwise, you may wire money or send us a check via mail.

How do you build your student database?

For more than two decades, GradLeaders has been a trusted partner to the world's top-ranked schools. Through these partnerships, GradLeaders has created the world's most exclusive and comprehensive database of student talent available. We collect the data when students register with their school's career service offices (powered by GradLeaders).

How often is the database refreshed?

The database is updated real-time when a student or alumni updates their profile/resume. Then each year a new class of students must register as part of their career services process.

Can I use GradLeaders for just-in-time hiring?

Yes, the database is updated each Spring as candidates accept offers. You can filter the database to find only those candidates still available/seeking.

How is the GradLeaders Recruiting Platform different from resume databases?

The GradLeaders Recruiting Platform offers recruiters a complete recruitment management system, with a comprehensive database of job-seeking students from all of our partner schools, and dozens of features and outreach tools that our partner resume databases do not offer.

Can I find diversity candidates?

Yes. Diversity (including African-American, Asian, Female, LBGT, etc.) outreach is a key focus of our clients. Sourcing and reaching this target audience can prove challenging. However, through our student profile questionnaire, you can now search on both diversity and academic clubs. You can keyword search such terms as ‘National Black MBA Association’, NSHMBA, MLT, etc., as well as directly access our diverse professional association partners through our Single Partner Search.

Can I find candidates with specific GMAT/ GPA scores?

Yes. Many companies have minimum GMAT score or GPA requirements for candidates. GradLeaders can assist you in locating this information for students who list this detail on their resume.  Note that not all programs allow their students to include this information on their resumes; some programs advise against including this information while others leave it up to the individual student’s discretion.

Can I find candidates who have worked for a competitor or have other specific company experience?

Yes. GradLeaders allows you to identify candidates who have held internships, full-time positions or who have worked on consulting projects within other companies. Additionally, you are able to identify candidates who currently work at a particular organization through keyword search.

Can I find candidates who have any specific personal interests?

Yes. Employers want to identify and hire top echelon candidates who are zealous about their careers and their personal interests or who have excelled in activities or competitions. Membership in academic clubs can be a good indicator of dedication or enthusiasm and excelling at activities, competitions, etc. can demonstrate determination and drive.  A key way to hone in on such candidates is through the club affiliation data and keyword searches.

Can I find candidates that are authorized to work outside the country?

Yes. If your organization has international locations, certain work authorizations will be necessary for your employees.  Work authorization is one of the options included in our advanced search tools.

Can I find candidates who are former employees?

Yes. A good way to connect with candidates who are familiar with your company’s products, culture or processes is to search for past employees or interns via keyword search.

Can I find candidates with specific foreign language abilities?

Yes. If your organization has international locations, it may be necessary for your employees to possess certain language abilities. You are able to search on language skills by basic/conversant, fluent and native.

Why doesn't a specific school appear on your partner list?

Our school partners utilize our career service technology as part of their graduate business school recruitment process. If a school does not appear on our partner list they are not utilizing our technology. However, employers may be able to find candidates from schools that aren’t on our partner list if they are members of one of our professional association partners.

What are the system requirements for the GradLeaders Career Center Platform?

Since the system is a web-based application, there are no particular system requirements in order to fully utilize the GradLeaders Career Center Platform. However; since it is a web-based application, there are some internet configurations we strongly suggest.

Does GradLeaders include employment reporting?

Yes. We are an MBA CSEA Approved Standards Vendor. Schools have a great deal of flexibility in the reports. The default GradLeaders configuration will collect all needed data to meet MBA CSEA reporting standards, and facilitate the schools reporting to outside publications.

Does GradLeaders support candidate workshops?

Yes. A school's career management office staff can set up and manage the various instructional sessions that they hold for their students within the GradLeaders Career Center Platform.

Does GradLeaders support mock interviewing?

Yes. The school's career management office staff can set up and manage the Mock (Practice) Interviews for their students within the GradLeaders Career Center Platform.

Does GradLeaders support advising / coaching appointments?

Yes. There is a specific Advising / Coaching Appointments module built into the GradLeaders Career Center Platform. This module has been a marked improvement for many schools over the old method of scheduling appointments via email and/or maintaining large paper calendars in the Career Management Office reception area.

Can school admins manage their relationships and communications with students and/or alumni with GradLeaders?

Yes. There is a Candidate Management module built into the GradLeaders Career Center Platform. This module helps the school organize and manage their student and alumni information and history.

Does GradLeaders support on-campus interviewing and company events?

Yes. Two specific modules within GradLeaders help schools manage on-campus interviewing and company events. The company event module is closely related to the on-campus interviewing module, as most company events are scheduled in advance of the organizations' on-campus interviews. The GradLeaders Career Center Platform supports two types of company events, single-company events (i.e. presentations) and multi-company events (i.e. networking nights, industry nights, etc.)

Is there an employer CRM within GradLeaders?

Yes. There is a Company/Contact Management Module built into the GradLeaders Career Center Platform. This module helps the school organize and manage their company and recruiter contact information and history.

Can schools manage their job postings with GradLeaders?

Yes. GradLeaders offers a comprehensive job board to manage opportunities. Much like the resume database, GradLeaders will advise that the majority of our standard job posting form is utilized, so that our partner companies can effectively use our MultiPost tool to place job postings in front of the school's candidates.

What is a resume database?

The resume database consists of individual candidate resumes and profiles. To establish a resume database for your school, GradLeaders will work with you to establish your b-school candidate profiles using:

  • Standard profile questions — used to standardize responses and increase student exposure for the majority of recruiter/employer searches.
  • Customized profile questions — used to meet other business and/or recruiting objectives.

MultiPost

How much does a MultiPost cost?

One MultiPost job posting to our Undergrad school partners costs $195.

One MultiPost job posting to our MBA school partners costs $295.

One MultiPost job post to our professional association partners costs $595.

One MultiPost to all MBA partner schools and professional associations costs $795.

What does a MultiPost job posting look like?

A MultiPost job posting looks just as if you had visited the school's individual job boards to post an opening. Candidates see no difference between a job posted directly through their school job board and one distributed through MultiPost.

How long does a MultiPost job stay active?

MultiPost job postings run for 30 days. Following that expiration, you can pay for another 30 days and refresh your job posting.

Can I post OCR jobs?

No, MultiPost job postings are for those positions being recruited for off-campus. Jobs being recruited for on-campus must be posted directly through the schools' individual career service portals.

Will I be able to track the ROI on a MultiPost job?

Yes, each MultiPost job allows you to view the number of candidates that viewed your job at each school or association. When tracked against the number of applicants, the value of MultiPost can be easily calculated.

What kind of reporting will I have on my MultiPost job posting?

MultiPost allows recruiters to view the number of candidates, by school or association, that viewed each job posting.

Why would a job posting be declined?

There are several reasons we might decline or place a listing on hold. Here are the most common reasons:

  • Not an appropriate job for b-school students and alumni
  • Incomplete contact/recruiter information
  • Blind email address or general phone number in the contact/recruiter information
  • Listing appears directed at the incorrect audience (i.e. internships for experienced alumni)
  • There is no company information, or the company is determined not to exist
  • The listing appears to be an attempt to merely collect resumes without a legitimate opening (this applies mostly to search firms)
  • The website hyperlink does not lead to a valid URL

What do I get with MultiPost?

MultiPost gives you the opportunity to post one job opening to as many or as few of our participating partners as you'd like. The job posting will last for 30 days, by the end of which you can easily sign back in and refresh the posting for another 30 days.

How do I post my job with MultiPost?

There are two ways to use MultiPost: 1) Purchase a MultiPost job posting directly from the GradLeaders webstore or 2) Choose to distribute your job from a school or association's job board that is powered by GradLeaders.

If you purchased a MultiPost job posting from our webstore:

  1. After checking out, you will immediately be able to post your job(s) from the "My Account" page on gradleaders.com.
  2. Click the "Post Job" button on your dashboard.
  3. Enter your job posting details.
  4. Submit your job posting for approval (Note: once approved, you will only be able to edit the job information, not the job distribution).

If you are coming from an GradLeaders powered job board at one of our partner schools or associations:

  1. Click "YES" on the pop-up option to MultiPost your job.
  2. If this is your first time using MultiPost, create a new account (Note: you need to create an account even if you did so at the GradLeaders webstore already -- this is not the same system as the ordering site or any other resume book databases you have previously accessed).
  3. If you're a returning MultiPost user, sign in with your username and password.
  4. Pay for your MultiPost job posting.
  5. Submit your job posting for approval (Note: once approved, you will only be able to edit the job information, not the job distribution).

Resume Databases

How much do School Resume Databases cost?

The cost of a Partner Resume Database ranges from $50 - $775.

Why am I being charged?

The charges associated with each resume database are for the use of the GradLeaders technology.

How long do I have access to the resume database(s)?

Access to the graduating classes expire on August 1 of each year.

Access to the first-year classes expire on July 1 of each year, and then are available for purchase as the graduating classes.

Access to the alumni candidates will expire 365 days from date of purchase.

Why haven't I received resume database access and log-in information yet?

There could be two reasons why you have not received your log-in information and access to the resume databases you have ordered.

  • The resume database has not been released to employers/recruiters yet. Check the release dates on your account page or on the schools individual pages.
  • The school's career service office has not yet approved your access to the resume database.

Once both of these steps are processed, you will receive an email with log-in instructions for access to the resume database.

How do I access the resume databases to begin searching candidates?

Once approved by the school's career management office, you will receive an email (following the release date of each resume database). This email will have detailed instructions on how to login to the resume database.

Who should I contact if my access is declined?

GradLeaders has no say in the approval process. You can contact the school's career service office for more information as to why you have been declined access. Contacting the schools will often result in approval.

Why am I only seeing a single class in the resume database?

You will receive each resume database separately (even if you ordered a combo or "All Candidates" package) and each will have separate logins and accounts. (Note: These resume databases typically have different release dates.)

Can I share my login information with other recruiters at my company?

No. Strong data security practices require that each individual use their own login to access our online resume books for each of our partner schools. Each user is required to use a single, valid email address. Each user will be authorized to access each resume database from two devices using a system-generated user "key". Users will receive notice each time a user key is issued and will receive an alert when maximum number of user keys have been generated. You must make sure your account has a valid email address associated with it and that user accounts are not being shared. If you have multiple members of your team that need access to the resume database make sure you purchase multiple user licenses for each school/resume book.

Why can't I purchase an unlimited user license?

In 2012, the GradLeaders online resume books received multiple security enhancements to increase and protect our partner schools' candidate data. Our resume databases are sold with a single user license by default. If you expect to have colleagues accessing the database(s), purchase multiple user licenses so you do not run into access problems.

What are "release dates"?

Release dates are when the resume databases will be available to employers for search and access.

How does the entire resume ordering/searching process work?

  1. Create an account and/or log in to gradleaders.com.
  2. Select all of the resume databases you want access to and then complete the checkout process.
  3. You will receive a confirmation email of your order to the "Ship to" email address you entered. (Note: Make sure to not have the @gradleaders.com email domain in your spam or junk mail filter.)
  4. Once the school approves your access, and the release date has passed, you will receive another email with instructions on how to log in and begin searching the resumes.

Why is my order status "awaiting shipment" when it's an online database?

The reason why you have not received your access to the online resume books is because the school's career management office has not yet approved your order. This can take up to 48 hours. Once this is processed, you will receive an email notification with log-in instructions for access to the resumes.
